College students are curious, and endeavoring to cram a great deal into their still developing brains. Many college students are also perpetually underfed. Beginning on Thursday, April 9th, Christ Church Cathedral is beginning a new program to change this unfortunate truth.Thursday’s Table is a new weekly dinner ministry, meeting every Thursday at 7:00 PM through May 7th. We’ll gather eight to ten college students around a table for a simple, home-cooked meal and a little genuine community. Nothing elaborate, nothing fussy. Tacos, spaghetti, lasagna. Real, home-cooked food, made with care. That is precisely where you come in! Each Thursday, we need a few generous souls to make the evening happen: someone to provide the main dish, someone for a side or salad, someone to bring a dessert, and someone to arrive a little early to help set up and welcome the students when they walk through the door.Signing up takes about ninety seconds, check out the Signup Genius link. Your cooking skill level is irrelevant. Your willingness to show up for a young person who is far from home matters enormously.
